Forever lost! - Too many stories and memoirs and fascinating pieces of history

Too many wonderful stories and memoirs and fascinating pieces of history are being lost forever as generations pass and their stories and memoirs can no longer be heard. Millions of human interest stories, bits of wisdom, family history, humorous happenings, and so forth have never been written down and catalogued for future generations to enjoy.

Steens 1st Mill

My Dad was born in 1899 and almost achieved his goal of living in three centuries. He told stories of his childhood in South Louisiana when he would swim out into the bayou to retrieve a stalk of sugarcane from a barge on its way to Steen's Syrup Mill.

Spinletop

He told of how during the Spindletop Oil Boom, following the Lucas Gusher, the mules had to be replaced with oxen because the mules could not pull their suction-cup hooves out of the gumbo mud. Stories like these need to be preserved for posterity.

This website is for the collection of short stories that will be authored by you, the public. The stories are catalogued by the main topic such as stories about cars, pets, family, children, sports, hobbies, military, miracles, etc. The stories are available on the internet for all to enjoy, and as sufficient stories are collected under a given topic to make a book of 500 pages, they will become Volume 1, Volume 2, etc. and will be available for your family and future generations to enjoy.

Short stories are much more appealing, so it is better to break your memoirs into separate topics and events and have multiple stories of 1,400 words or less. You may include up to 4 pictures with your story to add interest and definition. Don't worry about your grammer or writing skills. We can help with any needed editing.

Just start writing your stories and memoirs and they will be saved for posterity.

Put on your thinking caps and start today to write down some of those memories before they are forever lost!

You will be helping to author a book with some of the greatest stories ever told!
